manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the
sons of God.

This is how
God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that

other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 15:9-10

What is Love? 1 Corinthians 13:4-13
Love is always patient and kind; love is never jealous; love is not boastful or
conceited, it is never rude and never seeks its own advantage, it does not take
offence or store up grievances. Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but finds
its joy in the truth. It is always ready to make allowances, to trust, to hope
and to endure whatever comes. Love never comes to an end. But if there are
prophecies, they will be done away with; if tongues, they will fall silent; and
if knowledge, it will be done away with. For we know only imperfectly, and we
prophesy imperfectly; but once perfection comes, all imperfect things will be
done away with. When I was a child, I used to talk like a child, and see things
as a child does, and think like a child; but now that I have become an adult, I
have finished with all childish ways. Now we see only reflections in a mirror,
mere riddles, but then we shall be seeing face to face. Now I can know only
imperfectly; but then I shall know just as fully as I am myself known. As it
is, these remain: faith, hope and love, the three of them; and the greatest of
them is love.
Jeremiah 31:3
Jeremiah 31:3
The LORD
hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an
everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.
Deuteronomy 10:17-18
For the
LORD, your God, is the God of gods, the Lord of lords, the great God, mighty
and awesome, who has no favourites, accepts no bribes, who executes justice for the orphan
and the widow, and loves the resident alien, giving them food and clothing.
Psalm 36:7
Psalm 36:7
How
priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in
the shadow of your wings.
Titus 3:4-5
But when the
kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of
righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the
washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
